Physiotherapist / Occupational Therapist - Newcastle

Our business is continuing to grow and expand. This  position will consist of a diverse role working within Community, Residential Aged Care and Private Practice. We're keen to hear what it is you desire.

The successful applicant will be working with experienced Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Dieticians and Registered Nurses, all supported by an efficient administrative team and will have a desire to offer quality services that make a difference to our metropolitan and rural/regional communities.  You will have the ability to work autonomously and contribute to an evolving Rehabilitation based approach to caring for the elderly in Residential Care Facilities and other Allied Health areas of service.

The successful applicant will: 

  • Providing services to the elderly and older adult population with opportunity for exposure and expansion into other client groups.
  • Musculoskeletal, acute care, chronic pain management, falls prevention, manual handling and exercise prescription.
  • Running of educational groups and developing unique programs and resources for our clients/referring partners.
  • OT's will provide high level clinical services including client assessment and treatment, therapy, equipment prescription, home assessment and modifications.
  • Completing high standard reporting and recommendations, working collaboratively within a team and with our referring partners to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.
  • You will also have the opportunity to progress into a supervisor/senior role and be at the forefront of making changes to the delivery of allied health care services.

Skills & Experience:

The successful applicant must:

  • Hold a current AHPRA registration or the ability to soon obtain
  • Have the capacity to work autonomously and cohesively in a team
  • Possess the drive to make a difference
  • Be passionate about quality Physio/OT service delivery
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be highly organised and efficient
  • Have a current driver's licence and reliable car
